In exciting news for affordable housing on the Isle of Wight, we are pleased to be working together with Capture Housing, a new provider of affordable housing who will be launching quality new shared ownership homes, to Ryde residents at West Acre Park.
The first nine affordable homes are made up of two and three bedroom properties and will be available with prices starting from just £105,000 to purchase a 60% share. The homes will be built to the same specification as our open market properties, offering purchasers an enhanced experience such as choice of kitchens, selections, and extras. This is rarely the case with affordable housing.
Capture Housing’s aim is to achieve excellence in the delivery of affordable housing and they are passionate, as are we, about improving the housing situation on the Isle of Wight for those finding it difficult to access the market.
At Captiva we launched the first phase of our West Acre Park development, a mixture of 1,2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes off Hope Road in Ryde, back in February and we have quickly sold out of the first two releases of open market homes. We are delighted to say that 85% of purchasers to date are made up of local people and 50% of homes have been sold to in need first time buyers. We are very excited about this next step and our relationship with Capture enabling even more people to become homeowners.
The Capture Housing team is headed up by director Peter Griffiths who lives in Ryde himself.
