Future Phases at West Acre Park

Our West Acre Park Plans

Here at Captiva Homes, we’re excited that we have now submitted our plans for further phases at our popular West Acre Park development.

Our updated plans for the low-density development include 475 homes, 25 acres of landscaped public parkland, a new GP surgery and road and access improvements.

We have always been about building Island homes for Island people and after consulting with the local community last October, we made the decision to revise our plans based on your feedback. We reduced the number of executive homes to allow for more homes within the development for those just starting out on the property ladder, something many Islanders were so passionate about.

Our plans were ready to submit three months ago as the country went into lockdown, but with an ethos built around openness and integrity, we decided the right thing to do was hold off from submitting our planning application until now in line with the easing of restrictions.

Lockdown has made us all think more about the space we live in and what we value the most from our homes. Outdoor space has become high on the agenda for people looking to move, with bigger gardens and access to green space on the doorstep.

We are incredibly passionate about the stunning parkland right at the heart of the West Acre development. Creating something truly special, a place where nature in all its beauty and seasonality permeates every aspect of daily life.

The Isle of Wight is everything to us and therefore part of our plans include huge investments into the local community, including local schools, improvements to local roads, a new community café or hub on the parkland, a recreation ground and play area and an increase to the current number of allotments.

We genuinely believe that West Acre Park will become something quite special. It’s the first development of its kind on the Island and we cannot wait to see West Acre Park become a community of its own.
